30 Minutes in the Life: December 2019: Festive Five

Traditionally, 30 Minutes in the Life has always chosen to do a festive 5 at this time of the year.  All our bloggers are busy.  We have been caught up in the season and time is limited.  It helps to keep it simple.

This is our 2019 Festive 5 with the bloggers that were available to blog this month.

30 Minutes in the Life: November 2019

I love this time of year.  The air has cooled significantly up north, and slightly down south, but there is a sense that the festive season is upon us.  Lights are going up and I see Christmas trees in posts and it just feels like things are speeding up to the end of this year.

Welcome to April of April White Photography, who has joined the 30 minutes team this month.  We are excited to have you join us and look forward to learning more about you through your blog posts.

Each month we take a 30 minute break to capture life around us and I am sure, like me, you are looking forward to seeing where each blogger takes us this month.

Next week is Thanksgiving in the USA, and so to all our blog contributors, and friends of the Journey to Artist/30 Minutes in the Life group, we wish you a enjoyable Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the moments, take time to stop and spend time with family and guests.  Don’t stress out! It’s okay if things are running late.  Make sure the turkey is defrosted in time. 🙂

30 Minutes in the Life: October 2019

This month flew by and I will confess to reminding everyone at the last minute that we were due to go live today, so it looks like we will have a quieter month this month.

That said, I always love going on different journeys with all the bloggers, whether it is a get away,  changes of scenery, artistic impressions and what’s going on in our lives.  Each one of us has a story to tell.  We have some very talented and amazing bloggers in this group.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

30 Minutes in the Life: September 2019

I often think of how to start the introductions to the blogs.  We could talk about the weather but I have done that so many times, although I will say that the slightly cooler weather we are having right now is making me look forward to the weather to come.

I could talk about how fast the year has gone, and that means Christmas and the New Year is not that far away.

However I am reminded that each day is a blessing.  Today we share just 30 minutes of blessings that we have had.  Our lives are so full of busyness that it is always good to stop and enjoy the moments that we share.  Today, from around the world, the 30 Minutes in the Life blog contributors will share how they stopped to enjoy the moments.

In the life of a photographer, whose art is created in tiny fractions of a second, thirty minutes is a sustained thought. Thirty minutes, the length of a child’s ballet class, a quick sauce’s simmer, a commute, is long enough to witness change and short enough to be over before you know it. We offer you here our monthly results of thirty minutes of watching and waiting and recording, of rendering permanent those fractions of a second that slip past in the time it takes to watch a television show. Thirty minutes in the life.”

Remember to take time to enjoy your 30 minutes.  Once it is gone, it just the memories that live on.  Take time to capture the joy and remember the moments.

30 Minutes in the Life: August 2019

Do you ever stop and think “it is time to slow down”.  This year I have found myself feeling like that.  We have been on one crazy schedule, work play and just life in general.  I am sure all the other bloggers are feeling the same way.  I am dragging through the last of summer and thinking role on winter.  But for many of us winter brings really cold weather.  The blogs for some reason feel like they are coming around quicker each month and yet we have at least 30 days between each blog.  The upside is that we get to see what each of our bloggers have been up to this month and I would encourage all of you to follow the links in the blogs and check them out as well.
