30 Minutes in the Life: September 2021

It’s September, and we just have a few more months before it is the end of the year. I keep thinking time is dragging then I realize just how fast it is going. I personally am feeling a little home bound, and it looks like Kim may be as well. Ceri on the other hand looks like she is taking us to a travel destination. I cannot wait to see where we are off to.

This year has taken it’s toll on all of us and I am sure that you are all feeling the same. The blog group is small again this month, but I love that they have joined me to share their 30 Minutes.

30 Minutes in the Life: March 2021

March and the birds are chirping to each other, flower buds are popping up and Spring has sprung. I love this time of year when the chicks are hatching, the cool days are still hanging out but are giving way to warmer days. The sunlight looks fresher and different and life seems to be a little more optimistic.

Sure we are still hanging out there with Covid, but there seems to be more hope that things could start looking positive. The vaccine is beginning to show positive results and there is hope, certainly in the US, that by July we will be able to celebrate together.

I know that this past year has been a struggle for many of us, to actually get out and take photographs. For some it has been really tough as they sat in major lock downs. I am excited to see what each blogger comes up with this month as we share once again what our 30 minutes looks like this month.

30 Minutes in the Life: February 2021

Where do I even start. We are in the second month of the year. We are still in masks, the virus is still prevalent across the country. I think everything beyond Florida, is borderline frozen, and then on the other side Florida’s temps are sitting at 84F.

I am sitting at my computer watching the sun setting across the canal, and thinking that another day has passed us by. The week has been a blur. For this group we take time to capture 30 minutes in our lives, even in this feeling of chaos.

Join us as we view what each blog contributor has to share this month.

Thank you for joining us. It’s always good to see what is happening around the world. On behalf of the 30 Minutes team, I hope you stay well, stay safe.

30 Minutes in the Life: January 2021

And just like that we are almost at the end of January. As the days pass, I keep pondering on life in segments of 30 minutes. What does that look like? How do I manage it? 30 minutes could often be my various zoom calls over the course of the day. 30 minutes is my lunch break. 30 minutes is often the time it takes me to cook. After 2020, in 2021, I want to embrace the 30 minutes and enjoy each moment. There is so much negative going on in the world today. I want to look for the positive instead of the negative. I want to enjoy the moments of laughter with family, even if it is over zoom. I want to stop and play some board games. I want to enjoy the love of my pets. Let’s do our best to make 2021 a year for 30 minute segments of really living life in the best way we can in spite of the circumstances we find ourselves in.

I am excited to see what this year brings with all of our bloggers. Here is what we have for you this month:

2020, December 2020

30 Minutes in the Life: December 2020

Happy New Year to you all. I hope that this year will be better for you than last year. I also hope that there will be some kind light at the end of the tunnel. Until there is, hang in the and hang out with us when you can.

So, I am sure you are wondering why December 2020 when it is now January. Our date to go live fell directly after Christmas weekend and no one was ready to put a blog together, so we postponed it for a week.

As I reflected on the beginning of the New Year, this year I have challenged myself to look for the positive in all situations. Often it is hard, but as I wrapped up last year, I realized that there were so many little things that we glossed over, that were something to celebrate. I would encourage you to do the same – look for all the positives that this year has to offer. Embrace them and relish them, because they will carry you through the challenging moments that we may experience in the coming year.

This week we have a number of bloggers joining us and I look forward to all that they have to offer.
