30 Minutes in the Life: June 2020

Where did June come from? I have officially been at home 3 months. Fortunately I am working. I hope that you are all in a similar position wherever you are in the world.

So the other day I read a summary of 2020 so far. In January we had fires in Australia, Prince Harry & Megan checked out of the official duties of the royal family. Kobie died. The UK left the European Union.

February we saw the first signs of Covid-19 emerging, and meme’s about drinking Corona’s were floating around. Everyone had their opinions on Covid-19, but at this point most of the happenings were in China and the US did not seem to be too concerned.

March things in the US took a different turn. I, for one, was instructed to pack up my office and go home. Covid-19 officially became a US virus.

In April, Bernie Sanders was out of the democratic race and Biden was in. It appeared the Kim Jong-Un may have died. But then he may not have died.

In May we learned of a swarm of locusts heading our way, then killer hornets. The country was in some kind of lock-down, stay at home, and people protested their right to be out and working. Then George Floyd was murdered, and political protests and some rioting broke out.

And now we find ourselves in June, wondering how the heck we got here. For the month of June we learn about a resurgence of mosquito diseases, the Saharan Sand Storm, the spiking Covid-19 positive cases and the stand against wearing masks.

It’s been a hectic six months. In the midst of it the blog group tries to keep up every month while, for the most part, staying at home and social distancing. In all of this chaos, we have also seen and shared some incredible images that we are tagged in on Instagram. We are so glad that you are part of our group participation and that we get to share your stunning images.

Here are the blogs for this month.

Lets hope that the later half of 2020 will see the end of this virus, that health would not be an issue, that life can get back to some level of normality, and that we will be able to get out more and enjoy documenting life outside of our homes again.

Thank you friends for joining us and thank you to the 30 minutes team for keeping us connected.  On behalf of the 30 Minutes team I hope you stay well, stay safe, keep washing your hands and practice social distance. Until things are looking up, stay home wherever you can.
